11th edition of Larlee Creek Hullabaloo happening Aug. 8 – 12 in Perth-Andover, N.B., along with Còig, MonkeyJunk, Sean McCann, Garrett Mason, Tomato/Tomato and many more!

Tickets on sale FRIDAY at 12 noon

The Larlee Creek Hullabaloo has done it again, with perhaps the strongest lineup in its 11-year history. From start to finish, these are the bands and artists you love, many of them new to the festival, and big favourites for all live music fans.

“The Little Festival That Could” is thrilled to announce that the biggest star on the East Coast, Rosairevillle, N.B.’s Lisa LeBlanc, will make her Hullabaloo debut on Saturday night, Aug. 11. With over 130,000 albums sold, LeBlanc has made her trash-folk, banjo-fired sound a hit across North America and Europe. With songs in French, English, and that wonderful blend called Chiac, LeBlanc is a hit with all audiences.

That’s just the start. Friday night features next-door-neighbours from Maine, Ghost of Paul Revere. Rockin’ it hard on traditional instruments, they are the kings of “holler folk,” and their harmony-filled, foot-stompin’ sound has taken them to major festivals across the continent, plus a gig in January on Conan.

Friday also sees the festival debut of Cape Breton’s Còig, the exciting young trad group that has set the Celtic world on fire. Add to that Juno-winning bluesman Garrett Mason, the jugband joy of Tomato/TomatoThe Gary Sappier Blues Band, and a special Maritime blues trio just for the Hullabaloo, Terry Whelan, Dan Doiron and Kendra Gale.

It keeps going on Saturday, with the hottest blues group in the country, winner of the 2018 Blues Juno, MonkeyJunk. There’s the festival debut of Great Big Sea founder Sean McCann. Fresh off her CBC #1 “Reckless Heart” is P.E.I.’s Rachel Beck.  One of the big highlights of the 2017 Hullabaloo was Cape Breton bluegrass/folk act Pretty Archie, so they’ve been invited back to the party.  New to the festival is a special showcase called “Indigenous Sounds”, a song circle featuring Gary SappierCaleb JohnsonKelsey Saulis, and Emilio Bonnell. There’s MorohubuCunningham Haines, and Full-Throttle Folk, a jam featuring members of Còig, Tomato/Tomato and Pretty Archie.  Speaking of jams, don’t forget the most-loved shows of the weekend, the always-exciting Little and Big Hullabaloos, where you never know who’ll show up to play.

That’s just the main stage.  Once again, you’ll find the Hullabaloo all over the community of Perth-Andover starting Wednesday, Aug. 8 with free shows and pop-up concerts with headliners. Don’t forget to book a River Cruise, featuring some of the festival stars in intimate, on-board concerts. And there are lots of workshops too, where stars teach you their tricks.

Of course, the biggest star of the show is the beautiful St. John River, with the festival grounds right beside one of the most gorgeous valley views in the province. There’s camping right there as well, food and artisan vendors on site, a licensed area for patrons 19 and over, and a shuttle service travelling anywhere up to 15 km from the site.
