As fall approaches, it is once again time to start thinking about induction nominations for the New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame!
The New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame relies on people like you, to nominate worthy athletes, sport builders and teams to be inducted into the provincial shrine. Candidates must be nominated before they can be elected, so please take the time to nominate a deserving individual or a team from your community or sport. 2019 SEED (Student Employment Experience Development) Applications Now Available

Summer job applications for the Student Employment Experience Development (SEED) program are now available.

Students may access the applications and other information on the program online. The deadline for submissions is Sunday, March 31st, 2019. “Our government recognizes the importance of providing opportunities for young New Brunswickers to learn and to gain hands-on experience in the job market,” said Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour Minister Trevor Holder. “These types of programs will help our youth become productive and successful members of our society.” For many years, the SEED program has provided experiential learning opportunities for students during the summer months. These placements are intended to help young New Brunswickers gain and develop skills and competencies that will benefit them in their future careers. Read more »

The Canadian Junior Hockey League is partnering with GradeSlam, an on-demand, chat-based tutoring service, to provide unlimited one-on-one online tutoring for any subject, at any time, for its players who wish to receive educational assistance throughout the remainder of the 2018-19 season and beyond. Stitches In Time: A Quilt Show

Stitches in Time, a fall quilt show by the Elm City Quilters’ Guild, is at Gibson Memorial Church, 183 Gibson Street, Fredericton, New Brunswick. The show is taking place Friday, October 19 from 10 am – 8 pm and Saturday, October 20 from 10 am  – 4 pm. Projects on display include quilts, bags, wall hangings, small pieces of furniture with quilted tops, ironing board covers, etc. There will be a well-stocked tea room. 7th Annual Run the River 2018

The 7th Annual Run the River 2018 in Nackawic, York County, New Brunswick will be taking place on Saturday, November 3rd, 2018 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm noon. Sponsored by Ryan’s Pharmacy and Liv9 Nutrition in support of the Nackawic Bend Ski Club’s Skis in Schools initiative. For the 7th consecutive year, race central is held at downtown Nackawic, overlooking the majestic Saint John River and the World’s Largest Axe. The running distances are 10k/5k/3k/1k.
